NOTICE TO NOMINEES AND THE PUBLIC ON NOMINATIONS AND APPROVAL HEARING

The Uasin Gishu County Assembly has been notified by H.E the Governor of Uasin Gishu County of the nominations of various persons for appointment as members of County Executive Committee in various departments.

Consequently pursuant to the provisions of article 179 (2)(b) of the constitution of Kenya, 2010, section 35(2) of the County Government act, 2012, section 7 of the Public Appointment ( County Assembly Approval) and Standing Order No. 185(4) of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly standing orders, the following listed nominees to the respective departments in the aforementioned capacity are invited to appear before the Assembly‘s Committee on appointments at the County Assembly’s Main Committee Room, Uasin Gishu, for approval hearings on the day and times indicated below:

The nominees are required to collect the relevant Questionnaires from the office of the Clerk of the County Assembly during the official working hours. The Questionnaire may also be obtained from the First Schedule to the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act No 5 of 2017 (available at www.kenyalaw.org). The Questionnaires may then be returned together with true copies of nominees’ Curriculum Vitae/ Personal Credentials/ Academic Certificates and other Legal requirements or testimonials by Friday 27th October, 2017 at 2.00PM. The nominees should also enclose true copies of Current Clearance Certificates from the following bodies:

  1. Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC)
  2. Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
  3. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  4. Higher Education Loans Board(HELB)
  5. A Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

The originals of the aforementioned documents should be availed to the committee at the approval hearing.

Members of the Public are invited to attend the approval hearing sessions. The members of the Public are also invited to submit any information or comment on the suitability or otherwise of any candidate for appointment to the respective position. The submissions may be made by way of sworn statements or affidavits and may be accompanied by any documentary evidence. The submissions may be sent or hand delivered to the following address so as to be received by Friday 27th October, 2017 at 4.00PM:
